Prayer Space

I lift up my eyes to the mountains;
from where shall come my help?
My help is in the Name of the Lord
Who made heaven and earth.

Lord, show me the path I should follow,
and give me the courage to walk in it to the end.

I have loved the beauty of your house, O Lord,
the place where your glory dwells.

Let me rest in the shade of your protection , Lord,
and grant me peace in my heart.

Lord, be a bridge for me across treacherous waters
Bring me safely through all dangers

Like a deer that longs for running streams
so my soul is thirsting for you, my God

The Lord is my Shepherd
I lack for nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside peaceful waters.

I thank you, Lord Jesus, for becoming a human being
so I do not have to pretend or try to be God.
I thank you, Lord Jesus, for becoming finite and limited
so I do not have to pretend that I am infinite and limitless.
I thank you, crucified God, for becoming mortal
so I do not have to try to make myself immortal.
I thank you, Lord Jesus, for becoming inferior
so I do not have to pretend that I am superior to anyone.
I thank you for being crucified outside the walls,
for being expelled and excluded like the sinners and outcasts,
so you can meet me where I feel that I am,
always outside the walls of worthiness.
